The Cadillac North American high-end manufacturer is now ready to tackle the luxury sedan segment by offering its German competitors a worthy model, in the shape of the newly unveiled 2016 Cadillac CT6 model, at this week`s 2015 New York Auto Show.
The 2016 Cadillac CT6 is said to offer its rivals a lot of worthy high-end features and performance, the model being ready to take on the BMW 5-Series, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class or the Audi A6. First off, the model will enter its segment with the company`s fresh rear-wheel drive platform, called “Omega”, which is the same platform used on the GM`s larger vehicles.

This would be the first striking sign that the 2016 Cadillac CT6 will resemble the BMW 7-Series in size, but it will weigh less, even compared to the BMW`s 5-Series, meaning around 3,700 pounds, as opposed to the rival`s 4000 lbs or even more.
And since lighter is better, the new model will also feature a lot of technological features, like Magnetic Ride Control used in the rear-wheel steering or damping. More than that, the Active Chassis System will also provide a shorter turning circle while parking in closed spaces.

Second, the 2016 Cadillac CT6 will also benefit the latest technology and the most luxurious features inside, like premium leather, carbon fiber materials or exotic wood trims. Technology is translated through the rear infotainment system with its 10-inch screens on the front seatbacks, the Panary sound system with the 34 speakers, the 360-degree view monitoring system, pedestrian mitigation systems, parking assistant system and much, much more.

To make things complete, the 2016 Cadillac CT6 also comes equipped with a lot of power under the hood. We are talking here about a wide array of engines, like the 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 265 horsepower, the 3.6-liter V6 naturally-aspirated 335 horsepower, or the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6, which outputs 400 horsepower. And as expected, a plug-in hybrid version will also see the daylights in the near future.

The 2015th edition of the New York Auto Show is now opened for public, with a lot of important carmakers to present their latest models. And Jaguar makes no exception, as the famous auto constructor has brought the high-end 2016 Jaguar XF, the model being launched in a video as well.

Also thanks to this new platform and lightweight materials used, the 2016 Jaguar XF will also shed some weight, meaning 132 lbs for the rear-wheel drive version while the all-wheel drive will weigh less with 265 lbs. And of course, this means that more space has been now added inside, along with the latest technology systems in terms of safety.

This means that the 2016 Jaguar XF is now available with a new InControl Touch infotainment system, or the 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, the electric power steering, the fresh and updated Surface Progress Control system a lots more. The powertrain fleet of the high-end model is also impressive.

This includes two 3-liter V6 supercharged engines, with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, respectively 380 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, both being hooked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. On the diesel`s side, the model will be equipped with 2.0- and 3.0-liter units, but with no power details for the moment. More details will be announced later on, perhaps after the New York Auto Show.

The Porsche German carmaker has already introduced the long-rumored and expected 2016 Boxster Spyder at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The model is a tribute to the famous Spyder version from 1960s and will tweak some interesting old-school body features.
Will come with the latest technology in terms of performance, but it will keep a retro styling, since the doors will be closed and opened manually. The transmission will be also manual, which will be definitely a delight for old-school and traditional drivers.

But under the hood, the 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder will come with impressive power, thanks to a 3.8-liter flat-six engine, which will now deliver 375 horsepower, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, at a topping of 180 mph. The performance is also given by the sports car`s firm suspension, new performance brakes, while the more aggressive aero kit with wider intakes provide a more aerodynamic stance.

Inside, the cabin will keep the traditional design lines, while the now conventional gadgets or the air conditioner will be missing, just to preserve the retro style. But in case you want to stay in touch with the present, you can always get to order your missed satellite navigation or other communication systems.

The 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e will come with a lot of space inside, especially for luggage and other items, as the cargo capacity is now standing at 500 liters, with the possibility of expanding to 1,720 liters, with the back seats being folded.

In terms of power, the 2016 BMW X5 xDrive40e will come with a conventional 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline unit, which develops 245 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque.

The unit is also backed by an electric motor, capable of providing an additional of 113 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The electric motor is also hooked to a 9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which can be recharged in around 4 hours, and has a mile range of 31 km at a top speed of 120 km/h.

Inside, the cabin is also complementing the exterior thanks to the two-tone leather upholstery on the seats and white dashboard, continuing the retro lines from the exterior.

Under the hood, the Fiat 500 Vintage `57 is tweaking a 0.9-liter two-cylinder unit, which develops 105 horsepower, while the 1.2-liter four-cylinder provides around 70 horsepower. Finally, a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel will also make its way, this one coming with 95 horsepower. Unfortunately, the Fiat Italian based has not received any pricing details.

Shedding off around 70 km, this would be perfect for the worthy performance of the 2.0-liter SKYACTIV unit, now churning out a good 155 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. No performance figures or pricing details have been yet revealed, but we should find out more this summer, when the model will be available at the U.S. dealerships

The hot looking 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 has been announced for the United States market, as the high-end model will become available next month all over the country, coming with the base price of $64,825. The model will come with a lot of safety gizmos inside, as well as a lot of power under hood.
First off, the 2015 Mercedes-AMG C63 is coming with a distinguishable body style, partly made out of carbon fiber parts, while other parts will make it stand out from the crowd. We might detail the carbon fiber trim, the panoramic roof, the forged alloys and a few more.

On the other hand, the C63 S is coming with more power at a higher price, meaning that you would have to pay $72,825 for 503 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
