BMW`s main tuning division Alpina, has recently launched the high-end B5 Bi-Turbo and B6 Bi-Turbo Edition 50, both models celebrating 50 years of Alpina presence on the market. And as expected, the two powerful cars will be built in a limited edition and will have a starting price of 86,850 GBP on the United Kingdom market.
Alpina has always tried to create unique models and the B5 Bi-Turbo and the B6 Bi-Turbo Edition 50 are no exception, both cars coming with a lot of personalized features and tweaks, which will definitely make them stand-out from the crowd.
The B5 Bi-Turbo and the B6 Bi-Turbo Edition 50 will sport the Alpina Blue or the Alpina Green paintjobs, while inside, the models will come with piano black trim panels with the Edition 50 name, the signature of Burkard Bovensiepen, the tuner`s founder, as well as the “1965 – 2015” logo on the seat backs, carpets or the key ring.
More features inside include the instrument panel all wrapped in leather, the steering wheel now featuring Lavalina leather, the center console fitted with the production plaque and so on. Under the hood, the B5 Bi-Turbo and the B6 Bi-Turbo Edition 50 will come with lot of power as well.
I am talking about an upgraded 4.4-liter V8 unit, which now produces an impressive 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which is 60 horsepower and 70 Nm of torque more, as opposed to the standard models. No performance details yet revealed by the BMW`s main tuning company.
