The latest edition from Skoda, the 2016 Superb recently launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, has been already seen in Prague, while cruising the busy streets, the model being wrapped in a metallic exterior paintjob.
Even if the 2016 Skoda Superb is still far from reaching its dealership, the Czech based carmaker decided to throw the model on the streets for some final testing, before ending up in showrooms.
Concerning the drivetrain, the 2016 Skoda Superb will be standing on the company`s new MQB modular platform and will be also longer than its predecessor. The model will also tweak more spacious than its rivals inside, the Ford Mondeo or the Volkswagen Passat.
The 2016 Skoda Superb is tweaked with a lot of gizmos inside, like high-end materials, tri-zone climate control, updated infotainment system, as well as a bunch of safety features, such as the Crew Protective Assist, the Lane Assist, the Emergency Assist, the Adaptive Cruise Control or the Crew Protective Assist.
Under the hood, the 2016 Skoda Superb will come with petrol units, developing between 125 horsepower and 280 horsepower, while the diesels will churn out between 120 horsepower and 190 horsepower.
Once it will its dealerships, the 2016 Skoda Superb will have a base price of 18,640 GBP, which will be just enough to take on the new Passat or the new Mondeo, at least in the United Kingdom, where it will be launched first time.
