Lotus reveals the Exige S Club Racer


Lotus unveiled a special edition of the Exige S, a model that comes with improved performance and minor styling tweaks. The Lotus Exige S Club Racer stands out thanks to the new yellow or white exterior finishes as well as revised bumpers, rear wing and side mirrors.
More important, the British company managed to make the car lighter by around 15 kilograms. It weighs 1,161 kilograms and packs a 3.5-liter V6 producing 345 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

The 0-100 km/h acceleration is possible in just 4 seconds with a top speed of 274 km/h. The downforce has been also improved by about 42 kilograms (at 161 km/h) thanks to the revised underbody and the wing. These extra tweaks will also make the handling better.

According to Lotus, the new Exige S Club Racer, which by the way, starts at £56,900, adds extra £4,500 worth of equipment. However, looking at the starting price, you will see a difference of only £2,400.
“The new Exige S Club Racer occupies an important niche within the Exige range and arrives hot on the heels of the Elise 220 Cup and the forthcoming Evora 400,” concludes the company.

2016 Audi Q7 Order Books Already Opened in Germany from 60,900 Euros


After the official launch of the 2016 Audi Q7 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the German based premium carmaker wastes no time and have already opened the order books for the model, the cheapest level costing 60,900 euros. Two engines will be launched in Europe alone.
We are talking about the base level version which will come in handy with a 3.0-liter TDI engine under the hood, enough to develop a good 272 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, and capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, at a topping of 234 km/h.

In case you want more power, then you should get the 3.0-liter TFSI unit under the hood, developing 333 horsepower and 440 horsepower, for which you will have to pay 62,900 euros. Along with the higher price, you will get a higher fuel consumption of 7.7 liters for each 100 km, as opposed to the base level, which goes 5.7 liters.

The company will also introduce the E-tron versions, which will be equipped with gasoline as well as diesel units. On the other hand, in the United States and Asia, Audi will also introduce the 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI petrol, which would produce 248 horsepower. For this one, there is no word concerning prices, but we should be able to find out more later on.

The model will be also coming with a lot of goodies both at the exterior as well as inside, but for that you will have to pay some extra cash. We might mention the matrix LED headlights, which will cost 2,580 euros, the virtual cockpit set at 600 euros, or the company`s latest Bang & Olufsen audio system, that will set you back at 6,150 euros.

2016 Skoda Superb


The latest edition from Skoda, the 2016 Superb recently launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, has been already seen in Prague, while cruising the busy streets, the model being wrapped in a metallic exterior paintjob.
Even if the 2016 Skoda Superb is still far from reaching its dealership, the Czech based carmaker decided to throw the model on the streets for some final testing, before ending up in showrooms.

Concerning the drivetrain, the 2016 Skoda Superb will be standing on the company`s new MQB modular platform and will be also longer than its predecessor. The model will also tweak more spacious than its rivals inside, the Ford Mondeo or the Volkswagen Passat.
