Audi reveals more about the 2016 Q1 crossover

Audi’s chef, Rupert Stadler, released new details on the upcoming Q1, the German crossover that will be revealed next year. Carmakers start to vary their range and create models to slot between certain existing ones.
The Audi Q1 will be similar to an A3 but will offer the so-called benefits of a crossover, such as the higher posture. Moreover, Stadler said that it will ride on a shorter version of the well-known MQB platform, therefore, don’t expect a massive car.

Front-wheel drive will be standard while certain variants can be equipped with the quattro all-wheel drive system, something which is needed if you want to take the car on more difficult road conditions.
Current rumors indicate that the model has received the green light for production and will enter the assembly line in Ingolstadt, Germany. The same sources indicate that people are highly interested in premium crossovers, something that made Audi consider the Q1 even more.
In terms of engines, the new Audi Q1 will benefit from the usual petrol and diesel units as well as a plug-in hybrid and a high-performance SQ1. The last two won’t be available at launch and will probably join the range later.

2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Caught on Shots

The updated version of the present Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which will be released as the 2016 model, has been recently caught on two shots, with the model wearing a slight camouflage in a car park in Netherlands.
The two shots were provided by the guys from Auto Junk and are previewing a test mule of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, wrapped in some camouflage, which means that the final version will come with some light updates, at least at the body.

Audi Q6 All-Electric – First Official Image.

The long-rumored Audi Q6 all-electric is now popping up in our news again, this time the German based carmaker releasing the first official teaser with the model. This might come as a suitable competitor for BMW`s X6 or Mercedes-Benz`s GLE Coupe, also launched recently.
There isn`t much to tell from the official teaser image, but we should state that the Audi Q6 all-electric will be standing on the company`s new MLB platform, also used on the R8 e-tron, which will make it stand under the Q7.

The Audi Q6 all-electric will take some design features from the Prologue Concept as well as from the Q7. In terms of powertrain, little it is known about the kind of power it will come with.
But rumors have it that the Q6 all-electric model might also come with a powerful 100 kW battery pack, with a substantial single charge mile range of 293 km.
As a reminder, the Audi Q7 e-tron was launched at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, packing a conventional 3.0-liter TDI six-cylinder unit which is backed by an electric motor. The overall 373 horsepower makes the hybrid reach the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 6 seconds, at a topping of 225 km/h.

Lamborghini Might Consider RWD Huracan Supercars

With the recent unveiling of the Ferrari 488 GTB which is the direct competitor of the Huracan, the Lamborghini is planning to fight back against the odds and considers launching two rear-wheel versions of the famous supercar. The announce was not made official, but some reports confirm the company`s intention.
The Lamborghini RWD Huracan will be first introduced as the direct replacement of the Gallardo Superleggera, while the second rear-wheel drive model will bear the name of the Huracan LP610-2. The Italian carmaker is also planning to introduce the Huracan Spyder, which was also long-rumored, and perhaps we will be seeing it at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
